Q. I had a dental implant fitted this Tuesday and have 3 or 4 stitches. My job requires me to talk all day on conference calls. On the 3rd day after the implant surgery I have started to get some bleeding in the area and I think I can feel the stitches coming out. I have read all the aftercare information and advice available but nowhere does it mention to avoid talking too much! Do you think talking alot (4 or 5 hours on calls) has affected my healing?,
A. No it shouldn\’t effect the stiches, go back to your dentist if you feel they have come loose or you have lost them. They do need to be there for at least 7 days for the healing to take place.
