The crown I had fitted doesn’t fit properly and sticks out, what should I do?

Q. I had a dental implant fitted over 6 months ago and it\’s brilliant, it was a great success and I went to get my permanent crown fitted last week but it doesn\’t look right at all. It\’s bigger than the rest of my teeth and protrudes greatly, I asked my dentist if he could replace it but he won\’t because he said it looks fine and it would take too long to get another one made! What can I do about this? I\’m very upset as it is very noticeable.,
A. Your options are to talk to him/her abut your concerns and suggest what is the best way forward.

  • Big Apple Dentist says:

The OP has already spoken to his his dentist, so his option now, if he is still not happy is to seek a second opinion. Some research on the web, or better still asking for a recommendation to find another dentist is the best way forward. He is likely to have to pay for a consultation, but this should not cost a great deal if he makes it clear that he is only looking for an opinion on the crown.
