What am I supposed to do without teeth for 4 months??

Q. I had a sinus lift and bone graft last September, followed by more bone graft 3 roots removing and 6 implants placed in my top jaw, not started on the bottom jaw yet, dentist has asked me to return in 4 months for abutments placing but how do you eat or go out can you have a denture made to go over the implants or would that risk damage to the bone graft, how do people manage to go out, eat, go to work without any teeth, I have 5 bottom teeth left which stops me even using my gums to chew so can only eat soft foods that can spoon and swallow without any chewing action,
A. Thanks for your question. Many patients opt to have a temporary denture or bridge made while undergoing implant treatment. Perhaps you should discuss your concerns with the dentist carrying out your treatment, I\’m sure they\’ll be able to help. Regards George Glove BDS MSc
