Q. How long does a dental crown last and in comparison how long does an implant last? I got my crown about 3/4 years ago now and am shall we say looking to the future. Or, by time crown comes to its end will there be any other advanced treatments available?,
A. A crown can typically last 10-15 years or longer if it is properly maintained and looked after. It may be possible in the future to replace the crown with another crown assuming the underlying tooth structure is still suitable. Regards. George Glover
