Are implants drilled into bone?

Q. Are dental implants screwed into the gum and bone or are they only cemented in with that special dental cement. The thought of drilling and all that stuff makes me queasy!
A. The implants is placed into the bone. The procedure is not painful at all if adequate anaesthetic is given.
