Lost most of my teeth, is there a limit as to how many teeth can be implanted?

July 24th, 2013
Q.

I have lost most of my teeth through gum disease and from drinking heavy metal water in Mongolia. My gums now healthy
Is there a limit to the amount of teeth that can be implanted? I need 10 or more. I have upper and lower plates at moment and these are ok but not wonderful and I could maybe do without upper if I get 5-5 teeth impants

My main concerns are the costs and the longevity of the implants and the time that I will need to heal the implants

Any information on the costs and the medical aspects would be welcomed

I need help paying for dental implants, i have many problems with my teeth, what can i do?

July 17th, 2013
Q.

I need help paying for dental implant procedures on my upper and lower. I have tried to even volunteer at schools and on Craigs list but no help. This is not about a lifestyle.I need teeth in my mouth and dentures and metal on the roof of my mouth is something I cannot handle. I spent so much money, insurance and time paying a dentist who promised me a perfect smile and took my teeth, I have 8 at the top which 2 I crazy glue on to talk clearly and chew what I can. I need help please, I even wrote to the Dental Association. I was told this was my only option and I needed to get the procedure done soon because my bone amount was good. I have no teeth in the back. I need a blessing and I am asking for your help please. I am 42 and healthy, I do not want this, I need help for this procedure.

I’m considering having an implant on my right front tooth, I’ve had 2 consultation which do you think is the best option?

July 17th, 2013
Q.

I am considering having an implant on my right front tooth due to the post / core RCT root starting to fail (after 25 years). I have had two consultations with two specialists and one is saying he would be prepared to do an immediate implant placement following extraction with the final restoration 3 months later, but the other is saying he does not want to do this and will extract, wait 3 months and then place the implant. Which do you think is the best option, as i have read that immediate loading / placement can cause problems such as gum recession after placement and can be challenging to create a good result in the aesthetic zone? Perhaps worth noting is that i had crown lengthening surgery about 3 years ago prior to the replacement of my front crowns. Also, as both my front teeth are crowned can i have a fixed temporary restoration during the healing phases of the implant placement? I know i should have asked them these questions but i ran out of time at the consultation and just want an unbiased view. Many thanks in advance.

Would my dad be able to get dental implants put in if his dentists knocked two other teeth out while extracting another tooth?

July 17th, 2013
Q.

Hi my dad went to the dentist to get one tooth taken out, in doing this the dentist actually broke his crown straight off and the bridge next to it. they said they would fix this and they have given him a pallot. Would he be able to get dental implants put in for free on the two teeth that were knocked out seen as though it isnt his fault. Surely he should have to pay to have these teeth fixed as it wasnt his fault they were taken out? i was wondering is there anything we can do or will he have to pay for treatment ?

I have a loose front tooth that i’m frightened to use, my dentist said there is no chance of it falling out, should i be looking at an implant?

July 17th, 2013
Q.

I have a loose front tooth which i dare not use to bite as I am frightened that it will make it worse and is slightly painful when I put pressure on it. My Dentist told me it was fine and that there was no chance of it falling out, but that to me does not solve the problem of the looseness and discomfort it causes let alone not being able to bite with it.. It is also about 1½ mm lower than my other front tooth which it never used to be. Should I be looking at an implant or what? Many Thanks

My two teeth that i had apicoectomy’s on 20 years ago are infected, what’s the best way forward from here?

July 17th, 2013
Q.

I have two teeth at the very front of my lower jaw that had apicoectomy’s approx 20 years ago and are now infected. I understand from what I have read I will need bone grafting, possibly a small/mini implant and that there is an above average chance they may fail – can you give me any advice on the way forward, suitable treatment (I don’t want more bone damage or anything that could fall out / break etc) and if I can find a good experienced implant dentist could they treatment work. Many thanks for any advice.

I would like a molar tooth implant but worried about the treatment, is titanium the best material to use?

July 17th, 2013
Q.

I would like to replace a molar tooth at the very back of my mouth and I worry in case the implant will cause my tongue to go numb or if this procedure will touch an acupuncture meridian point causing another area of my body to be affected. Also is there an even better material other than titanium which can be used for the implant itself, really appreciate hearing from you as I am so worried about this procedure, thank you for any help on this matter!

My dental crown is too long and I am concerned what will happen if it falls out. Can you advise?

July 14th, 2013
Q.

Hello, in 2008 i fell down some steps outside a building in London and broke my front tooth (Upper right Incisor). Originally a crown was put on which lasted well until christmas this year when it fell off. I returned to have another Crown fitted. In July i needed a root canal which was done through the crown already in place.

The crown is too long much longer than my other incisor, and a darker colour than my surrounding teeth. I guess my first question is there anything that can be done about this?

What i am really concerned about is what happens if this crown fails? because i have had a root canal through thte crown would it be possible to put on another crown if this one fell off or would i have to go straight too an implant? I am currently a student and if this happens in the next few years, would i be able to get NHS help paying for this if it were to happen?

Many thanks
