How successful are dental implants?

Q. I would like to get implants, but have a question in regard to the success of the treatment. I have seen that in some cases the implant fails to bond with the bone. Would this be very troublesome or could it be easily repaired?
A. If an implant fails to bond (non-integration) it will need removing and replacement. If this happens, which is very rare, it normally occurs within the 1st 3-6 months, making it easy to remove the implant and replace it.
