How will dentist decide if I need bone grafting?

Q. How will the dentist find out if I need bone grafting before I can go ahead with getting my dental implant? Will it purely be an x-ray or something else?
A. The need for grafting can be measured using ct scans or what is known as a diagnostic template. This enables the dentist to preview how the final teeth will look prior to surgery and will let him know whether grafting is necessary to produce the desired final result

How will dentist decide if I need bone grafting?

Q. How will the dentist decide whether or not I need bone grafting before I get my dental implant? Will there be x-rays to decide this?
A. Hi

Sometimes xrays can indicate this or even better a ct scan. Sometimes you can tell only during the procedure.
