I am getting bleeding and pain after implants and crowns. Is something wrong?

Q. Hi, I had two dental implants with crowns placed last week to replace my old crowns and teeth that had decayed underneath. Everything seemed fine but now I\’m in a lot of pain and the areas where I had the implants are bleeding. My dentist said it\’s usual to experience pain but I\’m really concerned.,
A. Thanks for your question. With any surgical procedure it is expected that there will be some degree of pain and discomfort for anything up to approximately 2 weeks. If the pain is going on longer than this or is unmanageable with pain relief as directed by your dentist then you should make an appointment to have everything checked over.
