I think the dental implant has hit my sinus, what should I do?

Q. my dentist said that there would be a small risk that my new implant would hit my sinus…i\’m afraid that this has happened, i\’m now in constant pain! Am i exaggerating do you think? The implant has ONLY just been fitted (2 days ago) what do you think i should do? thank you.,
A. Hi thanks for your question. If you have any concerns about your ongoing dental treatment then you should contact your dentist. Most people will experience some pain and swelling immediately following the surgical placement of dental implants and this can take up to 72 hours to settle and can normally be managed with appropriate pain relief.
