What is the difference between a dental bridge and implant?

Q. Whhat is the difference between a dental bridge and a dental implant? Are they not both basically doing the same job, but implants are much more expensive? Why?
A. An implant is a small screw placed in the bone of the space and is independent from the remaining teeth. A bridge is attached to the other teeth and generally entails drilling down the adjacent teeth.
