What does it mean when a dental implant is rejected?

July 24th, 2010
Q.
I have read about implants being ‘rejected’. What is this exactly? I will be getting an implant in a couple of weeks and am just looking into any complications that may come up?

Do bone grafts have a good success rate?

July 24th, 2010
Q.
Hello Kailesh, I have been told that I do not have enough bone for dental implants, and my dentist said that bonegrafts do not work 60% of the time, so I cannot have dental implants, is this true?

Is it possible to get more than one dental implant at a time?

July 24th, 2010
Q.
Are you able to get more than one dental implant at a time, or can you only have one? I have four teeth missing, because of a trauma none too long ago, but would love to get a nice smile again?

What complications may arise when getting dental implants abroad?

July 24th, 2010
Q.
I have been looking into getting dental implants abroad, because of the cheaper costs. I have looked on some sites about the treatment available abroad and know it is not as safe in terms of regulations. I was just hoping that you could describe some of the major differences and any complications which may arise? Thanks.

How successful are dental implants?

July 24th, 2010
Q.
I would like to get implants, but have a question in regard to the success of the treatment. I have seen that in some cases the implant fails to bond with the bone. Would this be very troublesome or could it be easily repaired?

Q.
While trying to gain an insight into implant tretment and what this incorporates, I came across something called mini implants. I would like to know what these are and if they are any different from normal treatment?

Is nerve damage a possible side-effect with dental implants?

July 24th, 2010
Q.
Hi. I am thinking about getting an implant but have read that nerve damage is one problem that can sometimes occur. It said this was typically due to a mistake or somethin by the dentist. Does this happen often?
