Do clinics use different dental implant systems?

September 19th, 2010
Q.
What types of dental implant are available. Are there certain ones that are better and more long lasting. If I go to one dentist am I likely to be given a different type of an implant than if I were to go to a different clinic?

If I do get a dental implant will there be a guarantee

September 19th, 2010
Q.
If I do get a dental implant will there be a guarantee period to make sure that the thing doesn’t fail on me? I don’t want to fork out so much cash and then for it just to mess up of its own accord?

Are dental implants best option for missing tooth?

September 19th, 2010
Q.
One of my teeth had to be extracted because it had been decayed beyond rescue. At the time I could not afford any further treatment and so the gum has healed. Whenever I smile the gap is evident and it is really getting me down. I am now employed and have saved up money for an implant, but was wondering if I am okay for them. The guim has healed but will this make any difference. Are implants the best option for a missing tooth? What would be a good tooth attachment for a single implant?

How much would whole dental implant process cost?

September 19th, 2010
Q.
I have been searching for a general price for the treatment I am in need of but have not been able to find gone anywhere. The treatment I am after is the removal of one tooth, a dental implant and then a crown attached to this, if you could give me a general estimate? Will any other factors affect the price?

Can you give me some info on the sinus lift procedure?

September 18th, 2010
Q.
Hello Dr Fahey. I am having a dental implant done in two weeks but have discovered that I will need to have bone grafting and a sinus lift. This had only added to what was already a very high level of anxiety about the treatment. I am not exactly sure why I am so fearful. I have broken bones before and coped with the pain find so I know I can handle it but still I worry greatly. I think it may be that I just don’t know what to expect. Could you offer any info about the bone graft and sinus lift, and any possible complications. Thank you for your time, Rachel.

Are dental implants performed at the dentist?

September 18th, 2010
Q.
Is the dental implant treatment something that can be done at the dentist or will I need to go to the hospital to get it done? It’s just that it sounds like quite an extensive form of treatment.
