If I have teeth removed is it possible to have implants at a later date?

June 4th, 2011
Q.
I have been advised to have teeth extracted after a gum infection but am distressed at the thought of being left with huge gaps between teeth. My question is if I agree to have teeth removed while I save up for implants are implants able to be used once my gums have healed and closed up? It may take me years to save up; will implants still be possible?,

June 2nd, 2011
Q.
O have a number of double teeth missing on the upper and lower jaw. I also have a crown which I think is getting loose so feel implants would be a good idea. How do I find a good reliable dentist to carry out the procedure?,

Can you tell me if private treatment will cost between £7k – 10k?

June 2nd, 2011
Q.
I have gum disease and my gums are receeding. I have about 4 teeth in my top jaw that need replacing. I will need one grafting and treatment ,i am despartely try to get an idea of costs for bone grafttng and replacing approximately 4 teeth in my top jaw. I already know my 4 top teeth will need grafting as the bone is gone and one tooth is about to fall out and I have lost another already, I have about 5 missing teeth in my bottom jaw which makes it hard to eat. I am trying to put a rough budget together of treatement . Can you tell me if private treatement will cost between £7k – 10k or do you thing my estimation is too low,

Would it be worth getting a mini implant to replace my dental bridge?

June 2nd, 2011
Q.
I have been attending the glasgow dental hospital for the past year since my bridge fell out. I was hoping to get an implant but the space is too small for this. therefore I am getting a bridge. However, I would much prefer something more permanent and wondered if it would be worth looking into getting a mini implant through a private practice. Since I was born without this tooth I am entitled to free treatment through the NHS but the process has taken a considerable amount of time and I am eager to get a permanent resolution rather than another bridge. They have not mentioned a mini implant so not sure if this is not available through the NHS. to be honest the whole process has been a nightmare and I would really like a permanent solution that is not too costly as I am only 21 years old.,

Can you give me some advice about how to go about being put to sleep to have a tooth removed?

June 2nd, 2011
Q.
Hello, Please can you give me some advice about how to go about being put to sleep to have a tooth removed. Since i was 7 and the dentist took my tooth out which wasnt nessacary i have the worst fear of the dentist. I need a root canel on one of teeth at the back but as my fear is so bad i have left it for 5 years, i keep getting infections and have a permant absese on my gum. I was chewing a chewing gum and half of my tooth snapped off. I braved going to the dentist today which i must add was disgusting and the dentist just pulled the equipment out of a wooden draw, no gloves on etc, and said he would remove the that was snapped. He now says i will have to have a root canel or have the tooth removed. However i cannot face going to the dentist to have this procedure unless they will put to me sleep. Please can you advise how/ if i go about getting it removed whilst being put to sleep. Thank you,
