I’ve been quoted different prices for treatments, what should I do?

June 6th, 2011
Q.
Hello. I have been to several cosmetic dentists who have all quoted me different prices. 2 said that 3 dental implants could cost up to £6,000 and the other dentist said that they could cost me around £2,500. I don\’t know who to trust. How much would 3 dental implants with crowns cost?,

My dentist isn’t certain if I should have a bone graft or not, what should I do?

June 6th, 2011
Q.
Hi, I have had x-rays, ct scan and the thickness of my bone measured. I have been told that I should not need a bone graft but he could not say for certain until he opens up the gum, is this true? I thought these tests would prove whether bone grafting is required or not. As when he opens up gum and procedes if he said it is required the the price rises alot.,

Would implants would be a possibility for me instead of a plate?

June 6th, 2011
Q.
Being treated for moderate to severe gum disease and have been advised I should have 4 teeth removed (lower central). I wondered if implants would be a possibility for me instead of a plate.,

Dentist has recommended implants to secure dentures, but I am unsure?

June 5th, 2011
Q.
Is there anyway my dentures can be secured in permanently? My dentist has recommended dental implants because the dentures are constantly loose or falling out but I\’m a very old lady now and don\’t want to undergo any surgery. Thank you, Rosie (67),

Would gum graft fix recession, which was caused by gum disease?

June 5th, 2011
Q.
I have some recession (2/3mm) on one of my canine teeth. It doesn\’t notice when I smile but I am aware of it… How much would it cost to have a gum graft on this tooth? Or are there any alternatives? By the way the recession was due to gum disease which I have now had treatment for and my gums are much healthier. I\’m 27 years old.,

Is implant treatment okay for elderly friend of 85?

Q.
An elderly friend of mine (85) has her own teeth. However, she is about to lose an upper right-sided molar. Could she have an implant despite her age? Many thanks.,

Why do prices of different implant types vary so greatly?

June 4th, 2011
Q.
I have 3 crown & posts in my front top teeth which my dentist tells me won\’t last forever as they are on the thickest post possible now. What sort of implant would you suggest and why do the prices vary so much between £700 – £3000 per implant. Kind regards ,
