Q. I have had one of my teeth removed and will be getting a dental implant when the gums are healed. What I am wondering is how long it will be before I know the dental implant is okay and I am beyond the point of it being ‘rejected’?
A. hi many thanks for your email, the dental implant usually takes a minimum of 8 weeks to integrate to the bone. after this time it is usually known if the implant has integrated. there is also a small failure rate after the final crown is placed on the implant but this is rare. hope this is helpful.
