My implant hasn’t been fitted correctly, should I seek a second opinion?

Q. Hello, I had a baby tooth on my left lowerside the first of my molars, and at 35 it cracked due to a 20 yr old filling and absysed. I had it removed and have now had an implant in the UK this wk. My questions arise due to the implant. I went on Tuesday and had the operation but at the end they said the threading on the drilling did not work correctly so they could not get the metal implant in deep enough – it sits above the gum about 5mm. I went back on Thursday and they put me under again as they were to put it correctly under the gum at the correct height. I\’ve gotten back today and they have lowered it but not a great deal it still pokes out about 3mm. I will call them in the morning to ask what happened but i know they will of course reasure me there is no problems…can you advise if i should go to seek a second opinion as this is now beginning to worry me and what do you think about this happening? thankyou.

A. It might just be the healing cap sticking out so don\’t worry until you\’ve spoken to them
