What are my options other than one tooth denture?

Q. I am 61 and have just lost my last milk tooth from my upper gum. I had a ‘false front’ on it to cover discolouration (the second tooth lies horizontal in my gum and concern it would be moved if the milk tooth was extracted). What are my options rather than have one tooth denture which my new young dentist has recommended? My retired dentist had suggested a crown on the teeth on either side forming a bridge if ever it was necessary. I’ve been told an implant is £1800 and not feasible.,
A. Hi It is really difficult to coment in this situation without examining the mouth and xrays. But if i am understanding correctly, it sounds like the impacted tooth is in the way of placing an implant. To be able to place the implant this tooth would also have to be removed. Futher investigations woudl be requires to see if implant placement is possible.
