Why Do My Implants Keep Failing?

Q.
Hello, please help me with my problem. I got implants fitted 3 years ago. Since then they have continuously failed. Is there any point in me keeping them if they’re just going to keep failing? My dentist can’t understand why it keeps happening. Please let me know what you think!

Many thanks for your question. Implants can fail for a number of different reasons including smoking, bone or gum infections, allergic reactions to the metal, poor oral hygiene, poorly-controlled diabetes, or other medical conditions. It would be a good idea to look into the reasons as to why your body might be failing, and then go back to your dentist to see if he thinks your suggestions may be a reason for implant failure.
