Q. Hi, I had an imlant placed this July, now four weeks later the implant has come out. It starting feelin very wobbly whenever I talked or ate. Then yesterday evening it came out, the tooth cemented with the screw, it all came out. Please advise me what to do. And how much would it roughly cost me to get it back in there. And could you please tell me what might have caused the tooth and screw to come out? Kind Regards,

A. I’m not sure if its just the crown and the post or the whole implant. If it is the crown and post then it will screw back onto the implant that is still in the gum. If its the whole implant then it might have been knocked before the bone was fully healed. I recommend my patients to follow a very soft diet for at least 6 weeks following implant surgery that usually avoids the problem of implants loosening. I would go back to your dentist and ask him/her to see what they can do to rectify the problem.
