What is involved with the dental implant procedure and how much would it cost?

Q. Just been told that a dental implant for my root canal filled tooth with crown (upper right 4) would cost £2,500. I was absolutelty gobsmacked well not literally fortunately! Surely one screw and a crown can\’t cost that much! Granted this was for the dentist to come to my local dental surgery where I am a Denplan client to extract the tooth and start the process and presumably visit on subsequent appointments but it still seems an horrendous expense especially when £450 is quoted online! I am not likely to entrust my teeth to just anyone but can you give me a rough idea of what\’s involved and a rough costing. Many thanks for your help,
A. As a guide we charge around £2100 for the removal of the tooth placement of the implant and construction of the final porcelain tooth. This treatment is expensive die to the expertise required to produce a good long-term result, beware very cheap deals as you might not get what you really want in the end.
