Q. I had a crown on my tooth next to my front tooth for years until it broke off. My dentist has fitted a new one with a post into my gum. This now feels it is becoming loose and I am worried that I have to have the tooth removed because it has happened before and I had a bridge fitted. Unfortunately a bridge is not possible with this tooth as I already have a bridge next to it. Could you advise why it is feeling loose and is an implant the only alternative.,
A. It sounds like an implant might be the best alternative to a bridge in your case if you want a fixed tooth. the looseness maybe a root fracture so see your dentist ASAP
